Pre-Bash

I was supposed to go to Aurora today.  The forecast was terrible.  I told him the night before the forecast was terrible, and you could see the line of storms out there, huge.  This morning the line had died down and we could make it out, and I told him we'd probably be out there until 7 pm or so when the line fired back up that afternoon.  He decided to drive.  The storms never hit.  All day.  Sure, it dribbled rain, but the 90% chance of storms, the "fire back up this afternoon", the 8 nearby TAFs, the weather channel, all got it wrong.  It was fine.  A little dreary, but fine.  Good grief I hate it when that happens.

Instead, though, I had time to do some BBQ Bash stuff.  I hit the bank, picked up some t-shirts and hats, ran a few other errands, picked up Kaylee from school, and then tonight was Round One.  Pizza Hut donated a huge amount of food, and we ended up running out of food.  There were probably 75 people or so there.  We had pizzas, cinnamon sticks and icing, breadsticks and cheese dip, salad and fixings, wings, and a couple desserts.  It was amazing, Pizza Hut really outdid themselves this year, and I'm really appreciative and amazed that they're doing so much for us 10 years past the last time I flew for them.  Alan is fantastic.  And Coke, same thing, they brought us so many Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, etc. fountain drinks, years and years after I last flew for Coca-Cola.  Just...I really appreciate it.  Awesome.

The weather was dribbly, but we had a very nice tent, and it was warm enough, and we hung out in the tent and ate and drank and chatted and had a lovely evening.  Ron tried to light a huge fire, but the rain kept everyone away from it.

We had a nice evening.  Hopefully tomorrow's weather will hold out and we will have a busy, productive, fun day.  :)
