Quickly

It was hot and muggy today, high humidity, in the 90s, not sure what the heat index was.  In the morning I flew in the 180, which has the airflow of...well, it has no airflow, and then in the middle of the heat of the afternoon I was in the 172RG, which at least does have nice big air vents.  I hate sweating.

I took Kaylee to her first school tennis practice.  They cut it short, kept it at an hour, and will all week, due to the excessive heat.  She's not bad at it.  I'm really not interested in her doing this for a couple of reasons.  For one thing, their practice is every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoon from 6-7:30 p.m.  In Greentown.  She already has Taekwondo Monday and Thursday so she will be missing parts of tennis practice, as the TKD comes first.  Acting classes are Wednesday and Friday from 4-5, which would be right before tennis/TKD.  She has 7th grade homework already.  So she's probably out of luck on the acting classes.  As for tennis, it takes me 25 minutes or so to get to her school in Greentown.  There's nowhere I can GO in Greentown, so I sat in my car for an hour today.  And I'm supposed to do that for an hour every day all week?  Next week when it's an hour and a half, I guess I can drive round trip 50 minutes or so to have a half hour doing something at home, but that seems silly too.  Go hang out at the hangar at Kokomo?  It's close.  I don't know, but this messes up my schedule too.  And she's going to have a hard time keeping up with her homework.  BUT, this is a good skill to learn, it's very physical and it's great exercise, something she needs to get more of, and it's another new experience to have and learn, new people to meet, a new school activity to participate in, which is all good, so...we're doing our best to make it work out.
