Started the morning with another hour and a half in the Champ at Glenndale, making progress, then out to Kokomo for an hour of checkride prep. Afterwards I was going to go vote, but decided to wait for Kaylee. She'd expressed an interest, so I picked her up from the bus then took her over to the voting place. The lady who signed me in said that she thought it was a "good example" that I was bringing Kaylee, and she was able to come back to the voting booth with me. We talked about the candidates, how the ballot worked, and I let her fill in the President line for me. She also fed the ballot into the machine for me, so the guy monitoring the machine gave her an "I VOTED" sticker too. Just think, not the next Presidential election, but the one after that, she'll be able to vote for herself...
In the meantime, I am SO excited at not having to hear another single solitary dadgum political ad again for hopefully at least a couple of years. I don't know if people on Facebook will know what to talk about now, what will replace negative ads on TV. I can't remember what life was like on TV before these elections. I'm almost giddy that this thing is over with, however it turns out. Hallelujah and Amen! (Still hoping this doesn't drag out in a big ugly fight for days and days...)
Kaylee's school held an election too. She said that at her school, Romney won, but they didn't say by what margin. So she got to vote twice today. ;)
I'd like to come up with something deep and philosophical to say, but I don't feel like it. So instead I'm going to go do laundry, and dishes, and have a drink, and see how it goes tonight.
