Kaylee and I both enjoyed the fog this morning. When I woke up at 6, I checked her school and saw the 2-hour-delay and went right back to bed. I knew my morning flight would be called off too. The last two days have come with gray, foggy, chilly Fall mornings. Kaylee's struggling with a stuffed up head, and no medication is helping. I don't know if it's allergies or she's getting sick at this point, but she's got circles under her eyes, which are watering and burning, her throat hurts, her head is all blocked up, and she said "I feel like doggie doo". Unfortunately I have a low grade headache, am fatigued, sneezing, and don't feel quite right either. Can't tell if that's allergies or not either. I think I hope so. I have stuff to do coming up here, including a trip to Arkansas Sunday morning. At least Kaylee has the weekend in which to recuperate, so hopefully that helps.
My foot looks kind of gross. Broken blood vessels down the ankle, big green bruise finally fading out, with the broken skin on the shin bone being the least offensive looking part about it. I'm glad I'm still young enough to just bruise, not break. ;)
When Kaylee and I were out shopping the other day, she was looking for some pants. There were a lot of pants with styles, shapes, colors, patterns, etc. on them, and I asked if she wanted any of those. I said "They seem to be in style right now." She looked at them, sniffed and said "They look goofy. I would feel pretty silly wearing something like that. I'll stick with normal clothes." Of course she then got a hot pink and black fuzzy sweatshirt with kitty eyes on the front and ears on the hood. Because THAT'S normal, right?! Whatever works for you, girl. :)
