Another busy airplane swapping day. I ran up the Cub so Jon could check engine compression and get cracking on the 100 hour inspection, then flew the 172 over to Glenndale so Sam could hunt down an intercom noise issue. After lunch I was out at Kokomo doing the post maintenance test flight on a C-150. It's the first time I've flown a C-150 in...years. A lot of years. That's the first crack that appeared in the earth's surface today. The second, bigger crack in the earth's surface was that I didn't find the 150 nearly as bad as I remembered it. It was actually a pleasant little one person airplane. I only had one problem--the flaps are a manual lever in between the two "seats", and my thigh was sort of in the way, meaning I had to fight to get the flaps down. Not that you really need flaps in a 150, but that's not the point. ;) The 150 did great, so we topped it off and put it away, and I took up the Aerostar. I didn't stay up long, just did one approach, shut the left engine all the way down to full feather and flew it around like that for a few minutes, adding some drag to see what I had and what it would do, then came in and did a couple take offs and landings (with the engine back on, yes.) I later flew the 172 from Glenndale back to Kokomo, put it away, and then had to turn around with Steve and go pull it back out and fuel it up for a flight happening later tonight after the airport FBO would be closed. Thus the airplane shuffle of the day.

When I woke up this morning my whole body hurt, and I could not figure what was going on for about 10 minutes. And then I remembered. I fought the Champ, muscled it around, picked it up, and ended up pulling muscles in my back, legs, arms, shoulders. What a doofus. An "I must be getting old", doofus. ;)
Kaylee wanted to make a smoothie, so I went to the store and got the bananas and cherries she requested, along with a few other things. Her smoothie wasn't all that great, but don't tell her I said so, because she worked really hard to pit the cherries without cutting her fingers off in the process. I think it needs a little ice cream blended in with it, so maybe we'll try that next time. They weren't bad, they were just too healthy tasting. ;)
Kaylee's over there eating fresh cherries, reading a book, and is all packed up and ready to go to Arkansas. This will be one of the last fun things we get to do before she starts back up in school. MAN this summer went fast!
