Packing Rain

Packing for Oshkosh has begun in earnest. The campsite is up, the trailers will arrive tomorrow, our bags here are filling, and we are working on some loose ends before we leave.

I was supposed to take the T-6 over to Muncie today for something, and when I woke up I thought it would be fine. Within 30 minutes I saw a bunch of storms popping up and the forecast changed for the worse. So I canceled the flight, only to have every bit of weather clear right off, making it a perfectly fine day until about 5 p.m. Figured. We did get a little rain, however, which I'm sure some folks will appreciate. I think I saw on the news that we're now a disaster area for drought. As little as it rained, it won't be enough to do anything, but it's better than nothing.

Ants attacked in Kaylee's room last night, so today I got some more of that stuff that took them out in our kitchen, and they are busy swarming it in there right now. Eat up, you nasty little buggars. By the time we get back from Oshkosh, they should be long dead. They still haven't made it back to our kitchen, even if we leave food out. Kaylee had a mug of hot chocolate in her room, and some cough drops, and they found those. *sigh* But, this ought to take care of it...

I was re-reading my blog from 2009 and 2010 trying to find which year had the Presidential TFR right at Oshkosh time (I can't believe it's been 3 years already!!), and I decided that I have gotten really boring this year. Ah well, I'll have to try to do something about that. ;)
