I Needed That

I had a lesson this morning in the 172, but about an hour before I had to get up, I woke up to the sound of rain. I was too sleepy to look, so I went back to sleep figuring the shower would move on. An hour later I got a text from my student, pushing us back to 1:30 thanks to the continuing rain. So I slept in, and I did not get out of bed until 10 a.m. And I needed that. I felt a lot better when I finally got going!

I worked a lot today on putting things...back. Laundry, dishes, unpacking, email catch-up, a few letters I needed to write, some errands, all the daily things that really pile up on you when you're gone. I'm still not done. In fact, I've done laundry all day, and haven't even gotten to the laundry that's actually in the main laundry basket. Now that's a lotta laundry!

Kaylee still has control over my iPad as she's re-reading the Hunger Games. At least she's on the last book now, so I should have my iPad back by tomorrow...

This quote was from a warbird guy, a truth worth listening to: "I often tell our upcoming young adults that success can be related to the game of Golf. Everyone hits it out of bounds or into the rough. It's how you recover that makes you a professional." Of course, if you hit it out of bounds too frequently, you might want to consider a different game. Unless you're a weatherman. ;)

Watching Olympics, still working on laundry, sending some thank you notes and sending on some pictures to people, finishing up putting away from Oshkosh and getting ready to pack for the next adventure--Arkansas!
