I told myself that I had to finish a tax thing for someone before I could start in on my formation written exam. It took me a couple hours tonight, but I finished up what I could do on the tax thing for now, and the rest I should be able to complete tomorrow evening after a run out to the airport. I'm not going to start in on my 16 pages of questions at 10 pm here, but hopefully by this weekend I'll get it done and sent back off to the check pilot.
I had two flights today, but one was canceled when the flaps failed. The other was a quick and dirty .7. So I spent over 4 hours out at the airport today to bill out .7 of CFI time. Whoo! ;)
As I was up flying this morning, I heard Steve on the radio flying with a fellow as well. I get a little kick out of us flying around at the same time in different airplanes, although I couldn't really say why. It just makes me smile. I also flew over the top of Kaylee's school, which also made me smile. I guess I'm easily pleased!
I heard back today on two more guys about the T6 formation clinic the end of April. One is a newbie who said he'd be here weather permitting, the other is a "Lead" who said he wants to come and will try. So that was good news.
A couple quotes for the day:
"Experience is what you think you’ve got when you’re about to get more."
"Experience enables you to recognize mistakes when you’ve made them again."
~Sammy Mason
I sort of hate that both of those are true. ;)
Kaylee is starting to get ready for Spring Break, and when she gets back, she was invited to spend a night with another friend. She's looking forward to her break. Some sun, some water, some friends. I went to Daytona Beach with friends for my Spring Break too--but I was a little older than 11. It was also the first time I ever wore a bikini, and coincidentally the worst sunburn I ever got all over in my life. I was purple, with blisters. Who thought that rubbing on Baby Oil and lying on a beach for hours was a good plan?? Good grief there's no way I'm not going to end up with little skin cancers...which reminds me. Packing Kaylee lots of sunscreen and strict orders with her chaperones to use it...
