The flight home was windy, and it's not very fair that I had a headwind both directions, but that's life. ;) Really though, the winds were howling up there, over 60 knots, and it was -38 Celcius up where we were too. One guy called in and said he thought he might be getting ice in his fuel because it was so cold up there, and he tried a lower altitude because he was having issues. Don't know what it ended up being as I switched frequencies then, but kind of interesting. Seriously though, these winds lately have been fierce.
We went from nice and warm and sunny in TN to 23 degrees in Kokomo. *sigh*
Kaylee had a really hard time today when we got home. As soon as the plane landed, she had tears in her eyes, and she missed her cousins. So tonight we set up Skype, and her cousins were kind enough to sit and talk to her on the computer web cam for awhile. She was in there cackling and laughing and having a great time. Thank you for that guys, if you read this. It means a lot to her, and to us. :)
Well, the cats are still alive even though we didn't have anyone to check on them while we were gone, the house is still standing, Kaylee has another 2 days off of school, and Steve starts right in on finishing up a guy's IR (starting) tomorrow. I'll get my pictures up tomorrow, I think, and work on end of month/year billing. And we're back, unpacked, (except Kaylee), and running...
Welcome to 2012, and may it be kind.
p.s. Here are Steve and I at the concert--you can see the coundown clock on the wall behind us. :)
