I left the house around 8:45 this morning and got back home around 9:00 tonight. Flew the 172 this morning out of Glenndale, another 172 this afternoon out of Kokomo, then the RG on a 3-hour Instrument training flight up to Goshen, shooting approaches and holds and all that good stuff. The weather was not great, but we had a really nice little bubble of goodness. We did have to leave Goshen early as I was watching a wad of weather move towards us, and we paralleled it all the way to Kokomo, did some approaches there until another wad of weather got just west of Grissom, after which I called it quits. Weather stretched across most of the state, except wherever we were, and later I found out there was even a tornado/funnel spotted up not far from where we'd been. (Of course I stayed well clear of the weather, by the way.)
Kaylee came with me to Glenndale this morning, and after I finished with that lesson, in the hour before we ate lunch, I ran her to the library. She'd finished all seven of her books in two days flat, so I took her over in order to pick up some more reading material. So far she's already read another two books today. I'd tell her to slow down so she'd have something to read the next few days too, when I can't take her back to the library, but who am I to talk. ;)
Tomorrow is going to be a loooong day...
