We are Here!

We left Kokomo around 8:30 this morning and started our pilgrimage to Oshkosh. This was the first year we hadn't taken any planes up there in awhile, so it was a nice little drive. Kaylee and I rode with Nathan, Tre and the kids, and Steve rode up with AE. Jim Z followed along behind us, #3 in trail.

Our crew made it up here around 3 p.m., and Chuck and Sam and everyone were already set up and ready to go, and our trailers were set up and ready to go too. These are nice ones, new, clean, and excellent. Ours is the "party" trailer because it has a big, nice living room area.

It was hot and muggy up here, making camp set up a little sweaty for everyone, particularly the guys unloading, setting up the pop up covers, stakes into the ground, etc. Sweat rolling off of everybody. Fortunately it's supposed to do nothing but get nicer and cooler as the week progresses.

When we first got here, the first thing we saw was a formation of about 12 warbirds going over doing various formations. Welcome to Oshkosh. ;)

Dinner was at Red Robin, the kids are already on the hill in the dark having fun, we've already hit the store and stocked up on Oshkosh necessities, and all is well with the world.
