I flew a lot today and it was windy but nice out, the end. :)
Kaylee and I did go up for a quick flight. I had to move a 172 back to its hangar anyway, and if you have to move it, might as well do a takeoff and landing. She couldn't reach the rudders today, so I did the taxi/takeoff, but then she did the flying around, and flew us all the way down to final right above the end of the runway. There was a crosswind, and she couldn't see over the dash, so she was holding her airspeed with her pitch almost dead on, even in the gusts, and was holding a straight and level descent to the runway with peripheral vision and the attitude indicator. I was sort of impressed. She does a great job when she focuses and tries. When we got over the grass and I had the rudder in for her and she had the aileron in, we got hit with a gust and she lost it there, I grabbed it and landed it, and she said that people were going to laugh at us for looking crazy. Nobody laughed, at least not to our faces. ;) She did say she wanted to fly the Citabria, not the 172. Spoiled girl or smart girl? Maybe both!
