I flew a lot the last two days, through to 9 p.m. tonight. I'm pretty tired, and my head hurts, so I'm going to skip the recital of what I did and just put up Kaylee's day. Mom likes that better anyway. ;)
Kaylee went to swim lessons today, and they wanted them to do a "shallow dive". Kaylee, who wasn't hugely fond of ducking her head under water, was not someone I thought would get into diving very well. *I* can't dive properly and I was a fish. Kaylee's first dive was pretty much right on. She did four dives, was the only one in the group who got it today, and the last dive she did had lifeguards on the wall, not just her own coach, clapping for her. She was pretty proud of herself, and Steve (who was a lifeguard in another life) called himself a proud papa, too. I was at the airport so I didn't see it, but I heard about it from both of them. So, way to go, Kaylee! :)
Kaylee has also enjoyed the last two days, being able to spend time with her friend K. K lives out in the country by the Kokomo airport, has a big trampoline and dogs and a "really cool" tree house, and the girls have a good time playing for hours at a time outside, which I like for some exercise. Kaylee loves to jump on G's trampoline too. She asked if she could get one for our house, but I don't think there's good room for that here. :) Anyway, today I took her out there around 2 p.m. and she hung out until Vacation Bible School started at 6. The girls went to VBS, which wasn't over until almost 9 p.m. I had a flight until 9 p.m. anyway, so after I got done I went out to the farmhouse and picked her up, jumping on the trampoline and having fun. I didn't even begrudge her a sweet iced tea after all that time outside. ;)
On to tomorrow...
