Today Kaylee is officially out of 4th grade! I stopped by her school today on my way out to the airport after lunch, and they were having an outdoor carnival with games, face-painting, grilled burgers and hot dogs, bouncy houses, etc. They had a fun last day of school, and while Kaylee watered up a little bit when she left, she was excited enough that she ended up fine. I took her to Scoops afterwards for some ice cream before bringing her home. :)
I flew 1.5 then 1.7, did some pattern work with one fellow, and a cross-country with a young lady. While he was trying work on landings in the pattern, there was another airplane doing approaches who kept ending up on final the same time we were, and another plane that came in to land opposite of the runway the rest of us were using. There was the taildragger with no radio who came on in in front of us, and all in all it was a busy little day out there! The weather was nice, the cross-country went well, and we came back to a parasailer and J-3 Cub cruising around Glenndale.
Tomorrow is supposed to be our Poker Run, our Learn to Fly Day at Kokomo and Sheridan, our ice cream social at Kokomo at 6 p.m., Kaylee's having a friend come out to the airport to hang out, and oh, I may have a trip to Memphis. And so it goes. :)
