More rain, more wind, more canceled students; another week of not getting much, if any flying in. *sigh*
I went out and got a bunch of things done, packages shipped, missed items picked up from three different stores, including the hated Hobby Lobby again, got done banking, and so forth. I even ran out to Kokomo and got the two iPads to bring home and update, and got the parachute information ready to go so I can get them repacked quickly coming up here.
Kaylee spent a little time next door with her grandparents, a little time on her math homework, and a fair amount of time working on her diorama that's due Friday. Steve has spent a fair amount of time on it too. Kaylee brought her shoebox home from school, where she had hand-made a castle and a waterfall, and you know what, she did a fine job on it. The fact that now it has to become an adult project too because that's what the others are doing is kind of, I don't know, sad I guess. I don't think the adults need to do these things, I think the kids need to, and make them realistically what they can do for their age group. Now we've got a store-bought castle and a big box and a whole lot of work on covering the space and making it look as fancy as possible because the small box with handmade items wasn't good enough. Mmm. Although, she was embarrassed by it, and now she's really excited about the one we're doing together, and that's worth some extra time and money. If we have to do it anyway, might as well look on the bright side of it. :)
Glenndale is in trouble-it was already flooded and we're getting hit with even more rain all night. I hope the folks living out there don't float away, and I don't know how long it's going to be before we can fly out of there again, but I can tell you it's not going to be any time soon...
