Kokosnow

The winds are gusting up around 52 mph right now, and it's pelting off of our windows like BB's. They can't seem to decide what kind of snow we're going to get, but guestimates go anywhere from 2" of snow on top of the ice to 14" of snow. Some airport friends of ours are without power right now, along with over 50,000 others that I've heard of. We have an Ice Storm Warning, and after that a Winter Storm Warning. The county just to our north is under a Blizzard Warning as well. All that, but around here it just isn't all that bad yet. We're supposed to get some more snow and ice tonight and into tomorrow, but for now, it's sort of a yawn compared to all the hoopla it's getting. The television had Nothing on all day long but "winter storm" tracking and updates, and the funeral of an Indianapolis police officer, which was on TV for about 3 hours straight. After his funeral was over, it was something like six hours of weather, on every channel. Unreal! Of course Kaylee's school was canceled for today and tomorrow, and she's been working on her 20 pages of homework off and on. I was so happy to see NCIS, a real TV show instead of the weather tonight.

We were prepared for this of course, so I've been working on billing, Kaylee's been playing and working on homework, and Steve's been working on his stuff. And we all took a nap, too. ;) Frankly, I'm just glad to be warm, dry, cozy, and comfortable. I feel bad for any animals and people who may be stuck outside in these kinds of conditions...
