I have now written two blog posts that ended up lost in the blue space of the universe, and not only do I not feel like writing it out for the third time, I'm doggone irritated about it, too! So yes, I'll copy/paste this this time instead of just assuming it'll work like it always has until now.
So, for the last time, yesterday I took a student up out of Glenndale in KS for 1.1 just to get him up in the air. He's been trying for weeks now, and the weather has just not cooperated. It didn't cooperate yesterday either, but I had enough, so I went ahead and took him anyway. So there. ;) That flight made me late to pick up Kaylee from school, so I got her out of after care and ran her to Target so she could get some pants and a new pair of shoes that she needed. I got her home and fed in time to go back out to Glenndale where Justin fixed a couple programs on my shiny new laptop (yay), which are now working fine. From there I got some pictures up on Kaylee's site from her birthday. I don't have a ton of photos of her and the girls. They're at that age where they sort of want their picture taken, but it's not really as cool for Mom to take pictures, so I tried to get a few of them all without doing the overkill I usually do. ;)
I'm actually starting to get a little twitchy over here. I was talking to Ty today, and he said all this gray was starting to get to him, and he wanted to take a flight and break out on top and get some sun, and was annoyed because his flight tomorrow was going to stick him in between layers and he STILL wasn't going to see much sun. I feel the same way. I'm supposed to head south tomorrow afternoon on a flight, if the weather will let me, so I guess I'll see if I can get out of the gloom for a bit too. But I'm not sure the Baron straight and level in IFR is going to scratch the itch I have. We were talking about the Mustang low and fast at lunch, and that didn't help...
