Joy and Sorrow

Joy: Steve is finally feeling better today! He can eat normal food, has started piddling around the house, and is currently harassing Kaylee in her room. He's still a little weak and not quite himself, but the fever is gone and he's finally turning the corner.

Joy: Today Kaylee was invited over to a friend's house for tomorrow for the first time, to make cookies and hang out for a couple of hours. She's very excited. :)

Joy: The Patriots Lost. They ate it, bad, and that brought me such a fun couple of hours, watching them go down in flames. I could not be more pleased.

Joy: Kaylee made more "snowcream", which she likes a lot and it only has whatever calories that are in vanilla and a cup of milk. Splenda and snow simply don't make for heavy caloric intake, but she loves it, and that works for me.

Joy: It was a nice family day.

Sorrow: I learned tonight that a woman I've known since I was a young teen is in the hospital with a severe head injury from a fall, and she isn't going to make it. Her name is Wilma, and she is very close to my best friend's family. The few times I made it back there, I was always happy to see her, too, and her me. She is an amazing woman, who has such a sweet spirit and a giving heart. She's a very Godly woman, and while Heaven may be a better place with her, this world won't be a better place without her. My prayers go with her family right now as they can only wait for her to leave this earth. Godspeed, Wilma. I know she was getting tired, and has family and friends in Heaven waiting for her...
