A beautiful girl I've known since she was a baby, named Kaitlyn, died today, three months shy of 9 years old. I'd just posted her pictures on the SMA Christmas Gift Exchange page...she had been ill off and on for a month, but was doing better, responding to antibiotics, things were looking up, and then she was gone. My heart goes out to her family, her mom Hali, her 12 year old brother Liam...
On a lighter note, on the way home from Awanas tonight, Kaylee told me that when she grows up she would like to be either an actress or a Congresswoman. I laughed and said "Well, hon, they're pretty much the same thing!" Of course then I had to explain that. Don't panic. I'm not thinking that one will stick.
