My flight this morning was cut short after the plane started running rough in the air. I had the student land, and the mechanic had the bad plug changed out by the end of the afternoon. Wa-la. The evening flight down at Sheridan was canceled too, so I had a little time to work on billing. I took a pretty good bite out of it today, but I have a lot more to go tomorrow.
Kaylee had a school trip to the Pumpkin Patch today, and she got to pick out a little pumpkin which she has since drawn a face on and is leaving on our counter. She still wants to get a big one to carve up, a big one with "lots of goop, mom!" So, I guess that's next. She wants to be a flamingo for Halloween, and I can only find adult-sized decent-looking flamingo costumes. WHY does an adult want to be a flamingo?? Why can I find 10 websites selling adult flamingo costumes and none for kids? What is wrong with this picture?
Kaylee spent some time this afternoon next door with her grandparents. Steve and I aren't sure what she does over there, but she just says they "talk". She always comes back over bouncing and happy. :)
Tonight Steve decided to pay her back for something, and we took a bunch of these large foam stars, sneaked into her room when she wasn't looking, and we pelted her with the foam stars. She was pretty shocked--we win. ;)
