Still Going

Kaylee had her last swim lesson for the week today, and it was a perfect, cool, sunny day for it. She has the next three days off, then starts again Monday through Thursday. She's enjoying it a lot, is doing a lot, and has gained back the confidence she's needed in swimming, which is great.

As soon as we were finished with swimming, I took off to Kokomo where I had a lesson in KS doing checkride prep with a student. We landed over an hour and a half later, I ate a half of a sandwich, and fifteen minutes later was back in 24B doing over 2 hours worth of pre-solo pattern work with another student.

We landed, and I had him put everything away because I was running late. I raced home, got Kaylee's dance stuff, put her hair up, threw her in the car, and we arrived at her Technical Rehearsal on time. I realize about five minutes later that I'd left my phone at home, and knowing I'd be out of touch for over 5 hours, I wasn't too happy about that just in case, but I was ignoring it. Until I went to take a picture and realized my camera had no battery in it either. Now that is not acceptable. I knew they ran late on these things, so I literally jogged back out to my car, drove home, got my phone and battery, drove back, and jogged back into the auditorium...only to sit for an hour and a half before anything even happened. That didn't please any of us, to say the least.

Finally the show was on the road. Kaylee & Grace did great, and I took lots of pictures, some of which turned out well, some a little blurry. There's no way I'm getting these up tonight though. It's 1 a.m. now and I have to get up early to go down to the Indy Air Show before they close the airspace for the day. Man, by the time this weekend is over I'll have another hoard of photos to go through and put up too! Good thing I edited the dance photos tonight and will just have to get them up. :) We were there until something like 10 p.m., I can't remember the exact time, but it was late, as always.

Steve brought me home Outback carryout for dinner, too-what a guy. :)

When I got home I had to do laundry or I wouldn't have had any clothes for the weekend, dishes because our kitchen was a mess, get Kaylee's dinner, pack a bag, get my paperwork in order for the show, print out the pilot handbook for the show, yadda yadda. This is why it's now 1 a.m. and I'm not in bed yet...but I'm working on it
