So, today's my birthday. Somehow that's not nearly as interesting in your mid-to-late-thirties as it is when you're a kid. :) I got birthday wishes from the DAR, from Culvers, from friends and family in person and on line (FaceBook made me feel loved today ;)), and from my mom who says that I was never a pain in the butt and that God gave her a perfect child. I'm not making that up and she said she'd sign and have it notarized for proof for you unbelievers out there! It's good to be loved. :)
The afternoon and evening were just gorgeous, and I was so glad to be walking around in a t-shirt comfortably, soaking in the sun. There are green things poking out of the ground in Ann's garden next door, which brings a smile too.
Tonight Nathan treated us to Outback Steakhouse while Kaylee was at Awanas, and this made for a nice end to a birthday as well as making it a good thing I walked a mile and a half today for some exercise. ;)
Nothing profound, I'm sleepy. Just...on to another year!
