Riding Along

I started off today in the back seat of the C-172RG, giving a few pointers to the guy in the right seat who was giving pointers to the guy in the left seat. Sounds strange, but it was an effective learning tool for both for what they're working on. This was actually Steve's gig, but Steve woke up this morning about half dead. He's gone through massive amounts of paper products and is pretty well miserable, and flying under those conditions would be...dumb. So he's stayed in a fairly reclined position today, attempting to sleep and kick this cold or whatever he's got (or whatever has "got" him.)

I sort of hesitated to take Steve's gig because I'm not...fond...of riding in the back seat with someone I've never flown with and don't know in charge in the front seat, but Steve said the gentleman was good, and while I don't trust unknowns any more, I do trust Steve's assessment. He was right-the gentleman did a fine, professional job. The cell phone photo is the view I had out the rear window, looking into the side mirror where I could see the gear hanging down. :)
