Fall Break Friday

We got to sleep in a little bit this morning, which was nice. So I like Fall Break as much as Kaylee does. ;)

When I came out to the living room dressed to go to Glenndale, Kaylee's eyes lit up and she gave me a big smile and said "You're wearing my shoes!" She'd given me a pair of purple heels with a purple ribbon that tied across the top, and it made her day to see them worn and out and about in public. I have one purple shirt and it pretty much matches the shoes, so I was a very bright person on a very gloomy day today thanks to Kaylee. :)

I ended up at Staples and Hobby Lobby and the bank and the post office and Glenndale (twice) and Kokomo airport and Wendy's and...it seemed like every time I thought I was done with errands, I'd get a call, an email or a text that left one more thing to go do. Some days I should get Frequent Driver Miles, I say!

Kaylee and I continued the tradition of putting her foot print on a square of cloth fabric she'd chosen. We were supposed to do it when she turned 8, but she's still 8, so it will still count. We'll just wait a few months after she turns 9 to do that one. ;) She had picked out kitty fabric, and I used the purple paint and wrote the age down in gold. It'll dry overnight, then go with the rest of the squares waiting to some day be a big footprint quilt. It's almost scary to think about how we're basically halfway through the quilt already! I was going to go until she was 18, if she'd let me, and here comes 9 already. And I thought that 18 years was going to take forever...
I'm closing in a little bit on the person that hijacked my smasupport guestbook. I'm not sure how far I'll get, but I want to know a little more. I may or may not let you know if I do. ;)

Kaylee's looking forward to Halloween, of course, and I'm just hoping it doesn't rain on us. She said she'd do a blog update tomorrow afterwards...
