Cheery

The day passed uneventfully. Kaylee had a good day at school, came home and we went over a math paper and a social studies paper for a test tomorrow. She got all the answers right the first time I asked her, so we only went over it once. We then had a long conversation, the three of us, about her and cheer. Her cheer class was supposed to be tonight, and she still said she wanted to stop going to cheer. We talked about why, the consequences of stopping, and wanted to make sure she understood that she can't change her mind again this year-if she's out, she's out. She made the decision to be out, and seemed quite relieved about it when we agreed to let her stop. She also came with me to the place to let them know she was dropping out for the year. It actually ended up being a good lesson. She wanted to just stop going instead of having to tell them anything, but we told her either she was going or she was going to tell them she was not going, but that it's cowardly and inconsiderate to just leave them hanging and quit without a word. So she and I went, we told the lady, and Kaylee felt good about it in the end... She'll gain about 90 mintues a week where she's not got something to do after school too, which is nice. :)
