Growing Pains

A girl goes away for a few days and comes home to no Cokes, no milk, no bread no cereal and no clean dishes. Good thing you can get gas and staples at the same place once in awhile. :)

I feel all achy and sore-my muscles got a workout including my shoulders, calves, all of it. That's really funny considering I only flew twice, and shows the tension I was holding off and on. I knew I needed to relax, but telling yourself to relax while you are trying to do something labor intensive is a little bit like telling yourself to not be scared when you're a kid alone in the dark and you hear breathing. Some things aren't as easily said as done. When I was in labor with Devon they kept telling me to take deep breaths and relax. Relax. Relax while it feels like somebody is sawing a dull knife in your insides repeatedly, on an interval you can pretty much know when it's coming, and it gets worse right as you start wearing out. But be sure to relax when you know that next bad one is coming, okay, because this is all perfectly normal and it makes it much worse if you're tense. Sheeeeyeah. Hey, no problem. At least it's not a problem after the epidural. THEN you can actually relax. Best. Invention. Ever.

But I digress.

Kaylee and I spent some time snuggling last night and this morning. She's having fun in school still, has gotten all her spelling words right so far this year, has three "BFF" girlfriends, and asks me to leave her in "After Care" for an hour so she can play with them after school. She also managed to control her talking for an entire week so as to not lose any minutes of recess, which meant she got to go to the "treasure box" and pick something out at the end of the week. She chose to get an "A Replacement". What that means is if she gets a grade she doesn't like on something, she gets to trade it in for an "A" one time. She could have gotten candy or a toy or swap desks or extra recess, but she chose the grade. It's "extra credit" for good behavior for the whole week. I told her that doesn't mean she needs to deliberately not try to get a good grade on something, because knowing her... :)

Steve's been working on a massive project for his main computer project, and it's been keeping him hopping, along with quite a few flying lessons. He's a Very busy fellow.

I had a flight this morning in KS to Marion, Kokomo and back to Glenndale. It was glass smooth up there, calm winds and not a cloud in the sky, which was the exact weather we needed Saturday and Sunday. That's the way it goes, isn't it? :)

Annnnd, it's the end of the month again. Time to crank out some paperwork...
