Well, today didn't go as anybody around here planned. Steve has been so busy, out working until almost midnight the last two nights straight, that he hasn't even been able to do his end of the "end of month" billing, so we're now almost a week behind on that, and we leave tomorrow first thing for an air show. So after his flight this afternoon, he is most likely going to be back out at the office until who knows how late finishing that up. I did what I can, but so far he's the only one that knows how to do the rest, then I'll get them in the mail asap.
I did have a (1.0) flight this morning, on our first pretty day in quite awhile again, and after that I entered billing stuff as best I could. We couldn't even get together for a group lunch, because everybody involved was hitting snags. Except Ty, but he was doing a flight review and didn't want to subject his 'student' to us hooligans. :)
Let's see. We found out that the camper we were going to use wasn't going to be available. So at the last minute we got access to another one, and everything worked out great since Duane cleaned it up for us-okay, me-and Chuck let us borrow the Suburban to tow it down with, and Gene let us borrow the generator so we could have power and air conditioning. All's well that ends well there. :) Chuck found out his refrigerator quit working in his trailer the day before taking it down to to camp in it. But he got it working again thanks to Google Power. Nathan...ugh. Poor Nathan had a hay of a day with his bus and other various mechanical things and their issues that as far as I know right now aren't all resolved, with time ticking. Steve ran out of time to get done everything he needed to do. Kaylee was very patient with all of us today. After we left the airport, I ran her home then on to gymnastics, then I started packing all our stuff for the trip. It may not be for a long time, but you'd be amazed how much stuff is involved when you're living in a trailer. Uh oh, I just thought about quick dissolve toilet paper. I don't know if we have any of that. Anyway, the weather is going to go from hot to chilly to rainy, so that triples the amount of gear and clothing you have to bring, too. Of course there's kitchen and bathroom and bedroom gear (towels, bedding, soap), just...you should see my deck piled high with bulky comforters and pillows and bags and chairs and and and.
I also stopped at a store to pick up some beverages for a few people, and a nice gentleman helped me find my purchases. When I checked out, he asked to see my ID, and when I showed it to him, he said to himself "72". Then he did a double take, and looked up at me, and said "72! No way." I laughed and called him a flatterer, and he said "No, seriously, I would have guessed '81 or '82." He even helped me carry my purchases out to the car, and was quite gentlemanly. So there I go--for one person with bad vision, I can still pass as a mid-to-late-twenties girl. ;)
Well, I'm finishing up my laundry and have quite a few things to get ready yet around here for the house and pets and packing and so forth. I doubt I'll have internet where I am, so when you don't hear from me for a few days, I'm still alive. Well, as far as I know so far anyway. ;)
Have a great weekend!
