Crackle

Spring was nice for that oh-too-brief time that it lasted. It's 93 today at the moment. I went out to Kokomo to fuel up the T-6 and get it ready for later, and just the act of pulling it out, fueling it up and putting it away left me all hot and sweaty. It would have been an okay time to go ahead and strap in and let the big fan and the open canopy dry me off for awhile, but a stack of factors against me made it not workable at that moment...so I let my Chrysler's excellent air conditioning do the job instead.

This morning Kaylee got to go with her Grandma & Grandpa to a library event with a Circus Boy, and then on to Cracker Barrel for lunch. Kaylee had fun and picked out five books to bring home and read. She informed me that you could pick out 50 books if you wanted, so she still had 45 more she could have brought, but decided to stick with five for now. When I was a kid, I'd bring home a stack of 8-12 books in one shot, read them all in a day or two, and bring them back for another stack. I ran out of books to read in the kid section somewhere around 5th grade and moved into the adult section. I thought about becoming a librarian for awhile there because of how much I loved books and being in a place where I could pick up any book to read I wanted. There's a funny thought: Laura/Laurie the Librarian. Anyway, back to Kaylee. She said she got so cold at the library that when they went to "Crackle Barrel" as she still calls it, she got hot chocolate to drink, which is crazy considering did I mention it's 93 degrees outside? :) She enjoyed her morning.

I enjoyed her morning too. :)
