The Day....

Well, this morning I thought I was sleeping in. I laid there in bed for a long time, and finally when I rolled over to look at the clock, it was a whopping 7:30 a.m.! :O So much for sleeping in.

Kaylee and I finished cleaning her closet and her room today. I ended up getting rid of over four more bags of clothes, everything is perfectly organized and set up, and I wish it would stay that way.

We had burgers at lunch at Glenndale today, and I took a quick flight in the Citabria with Kaylee to run over to Kokomo and deliver some mag parts for our Saratoga. It was slightly windy and bumpy, but that didn't bother Kaylee at all. :) She told me that she hadn't liked flying last year because she was stuck in the back seat with people other than her family, and that she much preferred the Citabria or her own seat, and just "us". I'm going to give her some flying lessons this summer. She can't quite reach the rudders, but I think we can rig something up for that...

I ended up running an errand to the bank, post office and Sir Speedy to pick up some business cards. I wasn't able to make it to Sir Speedy before they closed at 5, and I needed the cards for my (hopeful) trip to Monticello tomorrow. Kaylee prayed out loud that I could get there before they closed. Every stop light we hit between one side of town and the other turned green right as we got there, and I ended up pulling into Sir Speedy at 4:59 p.m. when they closed at 5. Kaylee said "See, I knew you'd make it. I asked."

We pulled into our driveway at about 10 after 5 p.m., and our company had arrived safe and sound. It's our cousins Jeff & Cindy, good friends and family both. We've spent the evening enjoying each other's company, eating, drinking and being merry. :)

On to tomorrow...
