Valentine's Weekend

Or "Valentimes" as Kaylee still calls it. :)

We had a nice quiet weekend at home. A little group cuddling on the couch, a little movie-watching, a little snacking, a lot of just hanging out. Kaylee and Steve got up and went to the couch and watched a kids' movie at 3 a.m. together, and I slept in past 9 a.m. in all comfort. We didn't go out, didn't do anything special, just enjoyed the time together.

Kaylee was supposed to have tomorrow off of school, but due to all the snow days and delays we've had this year, they are using that day as a make-up day to try to prevent extending the school year too far into the Spring. Fortunately she doesn't know she almost had tomorrow off of school, or there might be a rebellion. ;)

Times are scary for a lot of people right now. Several I know have lost their jobs, at least one I know lost their place to live today and has no idea where to go, and many others are hanging on by their fingernails. It's a good time to be thankful for what we each have in our lives, because even if life isn't perfect for each of us either, there are a lot of people out there who would be grateful to have food in the fridge, a roof over their heads, a steady job to help keep it that way, and loved ones to spend time with...
