Stuff and Nonsense

What a rainy, scuddy day, but at least it's warmer than it has been. I'm still just grateful to see numbers above zero right now.

After lunch today, I was following Steve and Chuck in the Jeep out of the parking lot of the restaurant, and Steve took the Jeep and straddled both lanes with it so that he could cut me off if I tried to pass him. He was going to hold me off until it narrowed down to one lane. The man threw down a driving gauntlet, and I...didn't pick it up. I debated it. I twitched over it a couple of times. I knew if I pushed it he would move because he wouldn't want a big old scrape on the side of the Chrysler just before it goes back. Advantage, Laura. ;) But no, I resisted. But if I had it to do over again, I'm not sure I would still resist. Faux-racing him is fun-at least until I kind of have to let him win to keep up his spirits as he ages. Heh heh. :D Okay, that's payback enough for me losing by default today. ;)

I know, most couples don't road "race" (nothing crazy, folks) or air race or try to sneak up on each other or beat them to places or have little skill challenges in airplanes and such. What can I say? We like to keep each other on our toes sometimes. ;)

Hmm, as I was writing this, I found out he perpetrated a whammy on me that took two weeks to culminate into a "gotcha". I didn't even see it coming. Okay, that's it...or wait, maybe it's payback for the time I convinced him that I had no idea who sent him those roses with a special note at high noon on a lunch Friday at Glenndale in front of a crowd... ;)

Kaylee was thrilled with the Valentines she got in the mail yesterday, and has the little gel things stuck up on our windows already. She has a spelling test tomorrow and is saying three sections at Awanas tonight and is doing just fine...
