Kaylee

What a gorgeous day! It was so nice that when Kaylee came home from school, she ran outside in her t-shirt and played on her playground for almost an hour, and I left some windows open for awhile to enjoy the warmer breeze...

Kaylee went to school today wearing pink pants, her cheerleading t-shirt, and her hair on a side-of-the-head 1980-style ponytail, in full "Girl" mode. Well, not full girl mode. She chose to take a science box full of fake big bugs and little cards that describe each bug, its habitat, its feeding habits, and its reproduction ("Mommy, what is r-e-p-r-o-d-u-c-t-i-o-n?") to school with her, a thing that went over very well in her class actually. :)

Tonight was Parent's Night at Awanas, so I went with Kaylee. I hope some day she knows how much I love her. ;) It was riotous in there! Parents tagged around with the kids, had to learn Bible verses, go with them to the games, listen to the Bible story, etc. I was one of about seven parents out of the 35 kids there. Kaylee said 3 sections, and did great. I had six verses I was supposed to learn, and I did the last four of them all at once, and the leader turned around and said "Did you hear that?? This mom just said all these at once!" They clapped, I bowed, and I thought maybe I should have gotten a jewel in my crown too. ;)

(Fortunately they didn't ask me to say all six again about an hour later!)
