Mondays have the typical things that need done for the start of the week. The bank runs, the post office checks, the bills, catching up on some SMA and home things from over the weekend, a little laundry; you know.
Kaylee is excited to have a new setup up front just for her. We took a tv and put it up front where we usually put the Christmas tree, and set up her Wii, dvd player, and karaoke machine up there so she can play Wii on a weekend or evening and not worry if we're already using the tv. And we can shoo her up there to play without having to listen to Wii noises in our main living area for hours straight. ;) Just today she beat two more stages on the cheer-she's on a roll now.
Tonight was also the last "cheer" session of the season. The girls practiced for an hour, then did a little routine for the parents, each got a nice medal with "Hot Shots 2009" engraved on the back and a certificate with their name and completion of the course, and a picture with the trophy individually and as a group. Oh, the thing on her head in the photo is a bandaid. Her "flyer" scraped her across the face twice when she was getting down from a stunt. Cheerleading is a rough sport, you know. ;) Steve came with me tonight, and after her awards ceremony we went to Pizza Hut to use her "free pizza" certificate from her school's reading program. No more cheer for at least 8 weeks, and after that, we'll see. :)
