Okay, so it was only forty-some degrees today, but it sure felt like a flash of Spring to me! If it wasn't such a busy day on other fronts, it would have been a great day to knock some rust off in the sky. But the day held other priorities.
On the way home from school, Kaylee told me that Miss M was causing problems at school again, being mean and telling lies to teachers about other kids and such. So Kaylee asked a teacher what to do about it, and the teacher said "Well, you don't have to play with her if she isn't behaving nicely." Here I interrupted Kaylee and said "Hey, isn't that what Daddy and I already told you?" She laughed kind of hesitantly and hemmed and hawed and I said "You just wanted to get more opinions?" She said "Yes, I just wanted to see what others had to say too. So I told M that we weren't going to play with her while she was being mean. By the second recess she was kind again and back to being my friend." Speaking of recess, today the kids got to go outside and play for recess because it was finally warm enough, and they made a big snow man together. The girls did the base, the boys did the center, and all the kids chipped in their own stuff to give him character. Kaylee donated her hat. I said "You left it there??" She said "My teacher said we could all get our stuff back when he melts." Well, okay. *shrugs* Some kids gave up buttons, some string, Kaylee's hat, Mrs. H's carrot from lunch, and they just had a fun time making Frosty before the snow all melted. I saw him when I picked her up, and they did a nice job! :)
Well, tomorrow is going to be a busy day. We have a surprise for Kaylee, and it's over-the-top, so you know it was Steve's idea. ;) But Kaylee is going to love it...I hope to have some pictures up tomorrow night.
