Friday, Finally

I didn't get to sleep early enough last night, leaving me with a case of the sleepies today. I got the airport bills folded up and sent off into the mail this morning, and I was planning on making a deposit to SMA Support of BBQ Bash funds, but when I drove by the bank was really busy, and I had a rather time-consuming transaction, so I waited.

So, most of the talk around today has been about the bail-out bill that just passed or about people's opinions of the Used Car Salesman v the Hockey Mom. On a side note not relating to the politics of anything, I do wish Mrs. Palin would properly enunciate her present participles and ease up on the "you betcha" and "doggone it" stuff. I know she can, because I've seen her speak calmly, professionally, and enunciating her words just fine in a video clip of her in previous local level debates, which makes me think she is using the "not pronouncing her g" thing on purpose to be endearing. I like her, and I think she has guts, but I'd like our Vice President to speak...professionally. I know she can, so I kind of hope she lightens up in professional settings on the "I'm gonna be runnin' for the office and I'm lookin' to be gunnin' for the..." kind of speak. Be yourself, be friendly and approachable and a real person, but be appropriate for the setting and be professional-it is an important office you are running for in representation of our country.

Yes, I'm sure she'll listen to me... ;)

Let's see. Today was Mexican for Friday lunch at Glenndale, and it was a nice day for it. Attendance seemed to be a little lower than usual, but still plenty of people there to clean out all the bowls/pans. :) Shortly after lunch I took the Decathlon to Kokomo to pick up Nathan and take him to Huntington, and he brought his airplane back home for awhile. There's kind of a friend hang-out 'thing' out there this weekend and we were originally going out to the airport tonight for awhile, but just couldn't make it. Tomorrow will be another day. :)

I did get my bank run in finally along with a couple of other errands, and home for the night...
