I am thankful for many things! Today I was thankful for a little bit of rain that we needed, for cooler temperatures, for grocery stores full of snacks that I shouldn't be eating, for Kaylee's happy spirit, for cuddling, for friends, for our health.
I keep up on Alan Henley, the AeroShell T-6 formation flight team leader who was paralyzed at home playing with his kids. He wiggled his toes today, they think, and that is what has made this day wonderful for them. That he is alive, has a little movement in one arm, and wiggled his toes. They thank God repeatedly and daily for these blessings and more. There is a little perspective for anyone out there who thinks they are having a bad day or a difficult time.
We are ramping up for our BBQ Bash 2008 already-Steve is hopping. The whole summer is just Gone. We never made it to the boat, we never made it to visit my mom & Ernie, Kaylee is back in school, Fall is here, and zoom, Summer is gone. Unbelievable!
I spent the day from the time I dropped Kaylee off at school until it was time to pick her up, minus a lunch break at a burger place, entering time sheets and doing end of the month airport billing. I'm still not done, but it's closer anyway.
Kaylee hopped into the car today, expressing how much she loves her school, likes making new friends, likes already knowing some of the teachers, likes her new teacher, and even likes bringing her own lunch. She's a much happier, peaceful, relaxed girl than she was this time last year, no question about it. Something else to be thankful for on a Thursday-or any day. :)
