I spent the morning working at home and doing that errand thing I'm so good at, lunch with friends, then back to Glenndale to gather together the last of the stuff the FAA needs for all our pilots that we're using for the BBQ Bash to give rides.
Nathan's info was at his hangar at OKK, so he took me over in the T-6 to pick it up and dropped me back off at Glenndale. It was just a perfect day for a flight, and even in that quick couple of trips I felt myself relax a lot. Canopy open, sun in the face, wind in the hair, 600 hp in the ears. It's funny, every once in awhile I look around up there and I still feel that little bit of amazement.
I went to Staples for my 14th trip this week to go fax more paperwork to the FAA, back to Glenndale to watch airplanes fly and talk to a couple of people, took Kaylee to Awanas, went to dinner with Steve, picked up Kaylee, and we came home and started working on the last of our stuff for the Bash. We only have tomorrow really, and part of Friday, and I'm flying a good portion of tomorrow, so...eek!
Kaylee's teacher told me the other day that we have a little writer on our hands, because she wrote out this entire story with tons of details, and her teacher was amused at the end result. She often mentions that Kaylee is creative.
Kaylee also drove the golf cart today out at the airport, as in by herself. She gave Jim a ride back to his house at the end of the runway, then drove back to us alone, a bit under a mile long trip. She felt quite grown-up with it all and she did a good job. That's one thing about Kaylee-she has *always* done a great job being careful and responsible when it counts.
That's about it for today-another day gone, another one gone, another one bites the dust. :)
