Tooth Fairy

Kaylee has had a loose tooth for days now. She has been bugging me to death to pull it with the pliers, but this time I said "no, just let it fall out naturally." Well, these last couple of days she has been non-stop on that tooth coming out, so this afternoon I checked it, it's just barely hanging there, and I agreed to pull it-but she chickened out as soon as I got ready. I shrug and say "then don't bug me about it any more girly!" Twenty minutes later, she yells that she's pulled it out herself. She puts the tooth in her Tooth Fairy pillow, hugs it close to her, and goes to sleep.

The Tooth Fairy always has a difficult time with the Tooth Fairy Pillow, because the tooth is so tiny it goes all the way into a corner of the pocket, and it's tough to fish around in there without waking up the kiddo. Tonight, the Tooth Fairy got the money in the pocket, but the process woke up the girl, but not enough to be aware. So the Tooth Fairy had to leave the tooth alone in there lest the girl wake up and catch the Tooth Fairy in the act, which would be a very bad deal.

So around 2 a.m. I go into Kaylee's room to tell her that instead of sleeping on the couch tonight, her daddy wanted to sleep on the deck with her tomorrow and sleep in his own bed tonight. As I'm walking into her room, she is walking out clutching her pillow. She shows me the money in her pocket, and then says "And guess what, Mommy? I asked the Tooth Fairy if I could keep the tooth for one more day because I'd JUST gotten it out and I wanted to spend one more night with it and see it for another day. And she said yes, because my tooth is still here even though the money is too! Isn't it great?!"

Ah, how these things work out sometimes. ;) Now, how is the Tooth Fairy going to get this tooth out of the pillow tomorrow night??

LOL, I love how that all worked out! Was the toothfairy able to get the tooth the next night?
