Swelter

It felt like summer hit with a vengeance today. It was Hot and Muggy, my exact two least favorite ways to be...

Kaylee and I ran errands this morning, then came back here so I could get some work done. I accomplished a fair amount, really. We met up with Chuck for lunch, then took some food out to OKK (Kokomo Airport). I enjoyed watching the T-6 flying around overhead, and Man does that thing sound good.

Chuck was forced to ride in the back of the 6 on the way back to Huntington ;), and Kaylee and I "chased" in the Baron to pick them up. And that's where it's hot. You practically wish you could shove your head out the door during flight. I finally quit sweating at Huntington in time for us to go back in the Baron and go home-so I went up high enough to feel the cool air, even though I had to come back down to land as soon as I got up there. A cold Diet Coke later, and Kaylee and I came home to get some more work done.

While I'm at it, I have to wish Nathan a Happy Birthday today! I think he's 59. ;)

Kaylee was getting a little whiny and cranky today, and I asked her what the deal was...we'd been gone during the morning, we'd been gone from 11:30 until 4 something p.m., and it was now 6 p.m. She said to me "My life is boring. I'm bored." Like mothers from all countries, decades, and races, I provided suggestions of things for her to do, which like children of all ages from all places she wasn't interested in the least in doing (hanging up clothes, for one). She said she's ready to go back to school now, and that she's just bored. After all, there were a couple of hours in there where we were home and I was not keeping her entertained, don't you know! :) She misses her cousins and Aunt Cathy...
