Wow, this is weird. The house is so quiet!
This morning I packed up Kaylee's suitcase and dance bag, and away she went, driving off into the sunrise (okay, so it was 10:30 a.m., but close enough) with a wave and a smile. As they departed down the street, Steve and I were sitting there on the deck when the SUV pulled back into the driveway. Our first thought was "uh-oh", but it was just a tire that needed aired up a bit. Kaylee said "I thought you'd think I changed my mind!" Steve said jokingly "I missed you!" Kaylee responded with "I missed you too. Wellll, not really. I mean, we only made it down the block you know." LOL She blew kisses and waived the "I Love You" sign language hand at us, and then she really was gone.
It's funny how she can be gone with her grandparents or gone at school all day and the house doesn't feel empty, but knowing she's halfway to Tennessee and won't be back for awhile does make the house feel like something's missing. What is missing is the "thud thud thud thud" of running feet. ;) I hope she has a terrific time, I hope she learns a few things, and most of all I hope she behaves herself!
Well, there are three pages of photos up now. First is the Family Reunion photos, and Second and Third are photos of us hanging out and doing fireworks and such.
It's a perfect flying day, but that isn't going to happen. It's also a perfect Rest and Relaxation day. I don't think much else of any blog-posting productivity is going to be accomplished the rest of this day, so I'll sign off...
If you read this tonight, I love you Kay! Don't forget to brush your teeth and give your cousins a rest now and then! :)
