Prep Day I

Last night I was walking around wincing, and I could not figure out what on earth was the problem. My lower back really hurt, and my calves hurt too. I sat there for quite awhile trying to figure out what I did that pulled so many muscles. And then I stretched my feet out, and the answer came to me in a flash. I had to stretch so far and hold the brakes so tight on the Mustang for long enough, that I pulled my calf muscles and strained my lower back doing it. That's almost pathetic! Lol

This morning I flew in the C-172 with someone interested in possibly learning to fly. It was their first time in a small plane, and fortunately we had a nice smooth day for it. I did smile at the question "Really, HOW old are you??" Why, thank you very much. :)

After the flight, we went to lunch, after which everybody went their separate ways to get stuff done. I took Chuck to Greentown where I picked up the Corvette and drove it out to Kokomo airport for it to be washed. Using the clutch was almost the same motion as holding the brakes in the Mustang, and every time I pushed it in my leg would twitch. We went from there over to find a portable DVD player for Kaylee for Oshkosh. Her other one has lasted for several years, been on many trips, and served us well up until it died a few months ago finally. I stopped at Sam's Club first. They only had two models-one for $68 and the screen was really dark even on the highest brightness setting, and one for almost $200. We decided to look at HH Gregg which is right next door. They had five or six models, but none of them were running so you could see the quality, and they didn't come with anything like adaptors or anything. On to Meijer. Hey, they have nice ones there, but man, the cheapest there was $129 and it had a tiny screen. Why not, let's go to Wal-Mart. Perfect! We finally got one for under $100 with decent quality and all the accessories. It took more trips to more stores than I care to visit in general, but at least it was fairly quick and I had good company, dragging Chuck and Kaylee along with me. ;)

I took Chuck back to Glenndale, where we found that something like 30 cases of oil had been delivered and left outside the building. Can't have that, so Chuck and I hauled them a case at a time through the building and into the hangar against the far wall. I started taking two cases at a time to make it go faster, but it was taking awhile with just the two of us. We took a break, and along came someone with a pickup truck who helped Chuck load up the last dozen cases and haul them around to the other side. We got our manual labor in for the day...

I picked up several pieces of SMA equipment that needs shipped out tomorrow, and finally brought Kaylee home, where she started packing her suitcase and I kept working on some SMA and work stuff, which is what I'm about to start doing again as soon as I finish this. Tomorrow I pack my suitcase and finish helping Kaylee pack hers, and Friday morning away we go. :)
