Well...

The weather turned a little unpleasant this weekend, which ended up meaning all Steve's flights for the day were cancelled. Steve worked on the computer most of the day (still is off and on, actually). I read the latest Jonathan Kellerman novel and did several loads of laundry, cleaned up the kitchen, that kind of stuff. Kaylee has made up a tent in the front living room, and is doing a sleep-over with Steve tonight. They do that once in awhile on a weekend just for the fun of it. :) Unfortunately, she woke up coughing *really* hard, so I hope she's feeling okay. The temperatures have gone from warm to cold and in a few days will be going back to warm, so that always wreaks havoc on all of us, often making us sick, either with allergies or...something. Hopefully not, as I'd hate for her to get sick just as Spring Break is over and school starts back up.

Kaylee spent a lot of time today doing face painting with watercolors. You know, she's actually rather good at it. She did on herself everything from binoculars and cat whiskers to tears to snot in her hands (that was for you, mom) to a butterfly on my cheek to a cat on Steve's face. She spent probably a couple of hours putting on one design after the other on her face and washing it off. It made a delightful mess, but she cleaned up the bathroom and I did the laundry, so it all came out well in the end. I took a picture of my butterfly for her to 'remember' it by, because I had to wash it off fairly quickly. A whole lot of entertainment for a box of watercolors! She asked if she could do the face painting at the next BBQ Bash we have. ;)

Tonight Kaylee was having a conversation with Steve about boys, marriage, divorce, etc. She said that one boy in her class was someone who was like she is, that they are both a little goofy, and that he's nice. (She had previously told me that he liked her for who she was.) The line that made us laugh and shake our heads at the same time? She told Steve in a whisper that HE likes the word "poop" too. Then she pumped her fist in the air and said "Now THAT is MY kind of MAN!" *gulp* Like I said, do I laugh, or do I wince and shake my head?! Probably a little of all the above. ;)

I just heard that the yellow T-6 that Tim Savage and Midwest Texans built/restored won Grand Champion Warbird at Sun 'n Fun this year. Congratulations to them! It IS a beautiful airplane that shows all the hard work they put into it.

Well, I guess that's it for tonight. A quiet rainy day at home, and we're all doing well. Hope you are all having a good weekend!
