I only have one complaint (so far). The business cards Sarah and I spent a good amount of time on are done in Publisher 2003. So today I go to print out several more sheets of business cards, only to find that my option to print one card or a sheet of them isn't there any more, and that when I select multiple cards in the printing page, it isn't printing right. After I spent a good while trying to figure out what I'm missing, I realize that I'm now using Publisher 2007, and that obviously that option/setting has changed. I get desperate enough that I even go into the "Help" function, where it helpfully tells me to choose my type of paper *before* creating my document, or otherwise I'll have to make a "custom page". Well, thank you. So I go to custom page and spend a very long time trying to tweak in all the margins for top, bottom, left, right, horizontal spacing and vertical spacing between cards, before giving up in frustration at the wasted ink and paper as I try to guess correctly on the numbers to use. Why would an upgrade in software make it incredibly difficult to simply print a sheet of business cards?? In 2003 it was one button: one card, or a sheet, hit print, done. Now it seems to be something you need a drafting degree or something to do. I suppose I'll be spending another hour at this tonight, since I really need to print the business cards for tomorrow. A case where "if it wasn't broke I shouldn't have fixed it", but I'm sure I'll get used to it like everything else.
Kaylee dressed up in the fairy outfit she b
ought at Cracker Barrel yesterday, and added a long-sleeved blue butterfly shirt because it was a little chilly out. She had me double-braid her hair, and then she topped off the ensemble with a pair of brown and pink Hello Kitty boots. It was funny and cute enough that I took a few pictures of her today, and decided while I was at it, I'd get her with her vampire teeth in too. What a combination. ;) For a few poses of the somehow-angel-somehow-biker-chick-somewhat-vampire appearance, feel free to visit her site where I've posted the pictures from today. We did some cleaning up today, I did mega loads of laundry, bedding, etc., and I did some computer piddling too. Then this evening Kaylee's little friend from next door came over, and they played for about an hour and a half, after which Steve spent time scrubbing BBQ sauce out of a dish and I scrubbed it out of the carpeting, while Kaylee picked up everything that got strung out in 90 minutes flat. Impressive! :)
I thought I'd leave you with some silly "Quotable Quotes" from "Reader's Digest".
