OKK Corral

It was a beautiful day, and I was so glad to see it. Of course 'beautiful' is relative since it was 26 degrees outside, but believe it or not, I wore a t-shirt. Steve, Kaylee and I went to Kokomo and we brought a bunch of food leftover from Friday's lunch at Glenndale with us and laid out a whole table full of food. Two of our planes were undergoing some maintenance that was finished up today, so we ate sandwiches and chips and dessert and all sorts of stuff and hung out. The guys did some tweaking on the planes, Kaylee played with the other kids in the hangar next door, and the rest of us just fooled around. Sometime around 4:30 pm, both planes were buttoned up and ready to be fired up and checked out. Chuck and I took up the RG for a couple of take offs and landings, and as we were cruising along, the sun was shining right in my face, so I closed my eyes and just enjoyed the warmth. The white fields and blue skies were rather peaceful, and I thought to myself "how can anybody not like flying?" :) The planes were all run successfully, and after a little more goofing off, we all headed home. Nathan had a parking lot by his hangars. We had the Jeep, Chuck's truck, Nathan's Lexus, Steve C's Jeep, Jonathan's car, and the A&P and IA's two vehicles. At one point there was also Ken's truck and Bob's vehicle too. A very busy day out at OKK. :)

It was kind of a fun day. It's always nice to get out and about on a sunny day with friends...
