Monday Stuff

I woke up this morning and saw ice crystals hanging on the trees outside and a white-out fog hanging in the air. I half figured it would be a delayed school day, but a look at the computer told me otherwise, so I got Kaylee up and going. Once we got in the car and on our way to school, I was relieved to note that while the ice was still hanging from wires, trees and signs, it was completely melted off the roads.

Today was "Get Things Done" day, at least during the morning. I ran around and did some stuff for SMA Support, and then met up at the office for lunch with the Glenndale folks. Afterwards the lazies hit, and we sat around and just talked about the "old" days with Jim I., who was around when I first came to this area to instruct. He was joking about how he remembered the "Googly Eyes" when Steve and I first started moving from friends and coworkers and into 'dating', and we reminisced about the Seneca that tried to kill me a few times (looked it up on the internet and it's still around and has an awesome new paint job and interior, but it DID have a gear failure landing in 2001), we talked about me first learning how to really instruct, people that used to be around and prevalent back then, etc. I hadn't thought about a lot of that in a long time, or talked to anyone but Steve who knew me/us back then, so it was actually kind of interesting, at least to me. Probably bored Chuck out of his skull though. ;)

Monday is always Rat Race Day, so once I snagged Kaylee from school it was time to come home, throw a snack in front of her, put her homework there, and then run and get ready for ballet and cheer.

Tonight at cheer we got all our gymnastics and cheer Professional photos back! I put them up on Kaylee's site, though here's one for you. I almost like the one Michaele took against the wall better, because she got a real smile out of Kaylee for those, but I do think they turned out fine. :)
