Rah Rah!

For once, I didn't have anything to say yesterday. Still don't have anything to say about yesterday. It just was. :)

The Colts won today, but not exactly by a lot considering who they were playing. They'd better pull it together. And Adam! What's up with missing all those field goals in a row?? Watch out, the last "V" kicker just missed one and he was GONE the next season...

Oh, today I had something I haven't had in years: a big bloody nose. Okay, skip this whole paragraph if you don't want to read about blood. Kaylee and I were wrestling on the ground, but she didn't do a thing to me, didn't bump me, nothing. Suddenly I had that...feeling...that I remember quite vividly from my younger years when I used to get them ALL the time, and I ran for it, making it just in time. I always had impressive bloody noses, and they used to occasionally last as long as 30 or 40 minutes, heavily. I'd be dizzy by the time they were done. I had more than one school or camp nurse worried about how heavy and long they were. But I almost never would tell an adult I was having them if I could help it, because back then they used to make you plug your nose and tilt your head back. Well, GROSS. I couldn't breathe, it would make me sick to my stomach on top of everything else, and it actually hurt. So I'd just go off by myself and let it happen freely until it was slow enough that I could use Kleen-X again to start staunching it. (Thankfully, I think these days the recommendation has changed to a more reasonable "lean forward" thing. Probably by some doctor high up in the hierarchy who actually HAD a serious bloody nose himself finally and had to deal with being forced to swallow it all!) I'll bet even some of my friends here remember one or two of my nosebleeds. I know I ran into Anita in the middle of the night in college once. It was pretty funny, I was running for the bathroom in the college "dorm", and I run into the pre-med student coming out of the restroom, who just looked at me, with blood all over the place, sort of looking like something out of a horror flick, like it was something you saw every day. lol I never did really know what caused all those nose bleeds, but I only had two that year at Cedarville, and I don't think I had another one from Vincennes on. Today's was a bit of a surprise, but luckily it was over much more quickly than they used to be. :)

We spent today getting the house and stuff ready to head to Disney this week. Kaylee is off school from Monday through Monday, so we are probably going to head to Florida Tuesday or Wednesday. It's going to be a loooong flight down there, as all the fast airplanes are busy/down for maintenance. Of course I can't complain too much, as a 7-8 hour flight is better than a 23 hour drive. We'll visit with her Grandma & Grandpa, and on Saturday we are doing Disney World, including lunch at Cinderella's Castle, with her in attendance. Kaylee's pretty excited about it! Must Charge Camera Batteries... ;)

Today was Professional Photo Day at Kaylee's Gymnastics/Cheer place, and we for Sure made it thanks to a friend who knows me a little too well, and send me a kindly reminder notice not to forget to go today. :o) Kaylee had three photos taken today, but I got really lucky on the time slots. Her group shot for the Cheer Team was at 4, her individual shot for cheer was at 4:30, and her individual shot for Gymnastics was at 4:45. Well, around 4:52 they hadn't come down and called her, so I sent her up and she walked right in and they did her in about 20 seconds flat. I should have had her go up at 4:45, but for the rest of them, they came downstairs and called people. I ordered copies of all three poses, so we'll see how they turned out. While we were waiting downstairs, Michaele took pictures of Kaylee and Grace together in their cheer outfits, and they turned out cute. I'll stick them up on Kaylee's site (if that's okay with her), but for now here's a crop-in of Kaylee's face. Isn't she cute?? Love those dimples. :o)
