The BBQ Bash Builds

Well, sometimes when you spend your day running around, you don't feel like writing it all out. Suffice it to say that I'm super busy, and Steve and Chuck are in even worse shape than I! Yesterday I put over 70 miles on my car. In One Day. Without going way out to Kokomo or Sheridan Airports. Seventy miles of in-town putzing around driving back and forth non-stop.

Today I made it to the grocery store (where I think they forgot to give me my candle), and to the post office, and the school twice, and Glenndale twice, and Applebees, and gymnastics, and dinner at Don Pablos. The rest of the time I stayed home and straightened up the house and cleaned and did laundry. Well, I'm STILL cleaning house and doing laundry here at almost 10 pm. I'm not looking for spotless, just "not embarrassing". ;)

Scooba is mopping the guest bathroom floor as I type, so that's not so bad.

I got out of my car today, and was walking inside, when I saw a little black dot off to my right. By the time it registered that the black spot was too close and too big, my brain synopsis' fired into the realization that it was a dangling, hanging spider that I had just walked into. I made a high-pitched yelping noise like a girl, spun around and couldn't find Spidey, so I started throwing my hair and arms around like a dog coming out of a pond in an attempt to shake it off if it was indeed on me. I never did find him, which next led me to fighting off the urge to take a shower and start over on my clothing for the day. I also spotted three spiders making their homes in the corners of our overhang. Have I ever mentioned how much I DETEST spiders?? Wicked little sneaky little nasty buggers.

I went out to Glenndale tonight, and I got the 'buzz'. The excitement of seeing it come together. It's like watching Oshkosh build up around you (only a rather smaller version, naturally). The campers are there and hooked up, the big banner is up and flying, there were airplanes and ultralights all over the place, the new addition is looking marvelous, and there were lots of people buzzing around. Glenndale is already hopping, and I love it. The T-6 arrives tomorrow morning around 10 a.m. and I'll bet lunch tomorrow is well-populated! Tomorrow night is Pizza Hut and movie night (Flyboys, I believe), and on we go. The weather is good, the plans have come through for the most part, and life is good.

Now, where was I on that laundry/cleaning thing. *sigh* :)
