Boat Day

Today was boat day. Everybody had breakfast, and then we took the houseboat out on the lake. There were 11 of us. Steve me and Kaylee, Dad & Gayle, my Grandpa Shaffer and his wife Virlene, Uncle Rick, Aunt Cindy and Jake, and Aunt Christie, who is, surprise, almost 7 months pregnant with a little girl! :) We motored out on the lake for awhile, then picked a nice cove and anchored for several hours, where we cooked brats on the grill, had cheese and crackers and veggie and dip, and then most people swam for a couple of hours. Uncle Rick and Jacob have a tradition now of jumping off the house boat into the lake, even from the uppermost deck, which is really pretty far up there. I got some photos of them diving off, a couple I think will turn out pretty good. Nobody broke any bones or drowned, so all's well and all that. :)

Later that afternoon we motored back into the dock, had dinner, and sat and talked for awhile. It was kind of hot, but nothing outrageous. The winds were nice, the sky was pretty, and it was a good boating day. Photos later when I get home and get on my computer. Oh, by the way, the lodge where we're staying Does have free wireless internet access. :O
