I could post photos of my laundry piles, but I'll spare you (and myself) the embarrassment. But I AM making progress. All our sheets and clothes and towels are washed and dried. Just don't ask me how long it's going to take me to get it all put away and off my kitchen table. I mean...I'm so efficient, this will all be done in no time! (cough)
Last night I took a shower. Normally that is not blog-worthy, but today it is. I stood in there with the water as hot as I could stand it for as long as I had hot water. By the time I got out, I was red, warm, sleepy, clean, and I couldn't see across the small room thanks to the steam. As Steve said, when I brushed my teeth, I let the water run. Normally I don't. But now I can. So I did. And I liked it. In some ways, it is GOOD to be home! Oh! And I could use toilet paper without moving as quickly as possible so as to not be left...high and not so dry. Yep. Good to be home.
I spent hours and hours working on my photos last night and today. Rotating, cropping, adjusting where needed, and finally getting them up online. Now I have a note about this. Usually I separate the photos of just Kaylee and put them up on her website. I separate the photos of flying and put them up under "fun flying" photos, and I separate the photos of our family/friends and put them up on "fun family" photos. But this year, I just wanted to tell one story all the way through. So the photos are up, all in one spot, under the Fun Flying. I didn't take many flying photos at all. I did that on purpose. Every time I'm at an aviation event, I take tons of photos of what ends up being the same planes and the same routines, and while I enjoy looking at the photos for sure, you can't really differentiate between this year's routine and last year's. You can't see a tail slide any differently. So this year I took photos of us (mostly Kaylee) while we were doing stuff. Watching the show, playing, sleeping, eating, etc. Because unlike planes, people do change, and I'll probably be more interested in seeing what she was doing 10 years from now than I will be looking at the airshow photos. Last year I had some great photos of a formation flight with a B-25 and several warbirds from the photo shoot. Had I anything that interesting to shoot this year, you can bet I'd do it, never fear. lol But if you're looking for that this year, you're out of luck. I took very few flying photos-mostly these photos are of Kaylee and friends, and there are Five Pages of them, chronicling our 9 days there. Now you've been warned, Go Look if you wish/dare!
