You know-some days you are the bug, some days you are the windshield? :)
First of all, please lift a glass in toast of Steve, who successfully passed his Multi-engine Commercial Pilot Checkride this morning! And nailed it, to boot. Of course. :) I'm proud of him. Of course he'll be a little insufferable for awhile and now he'll suddenly be better than I am at it too, but hey, give the guy some props (so to speak), it's done, and we have another multi-engine pilot in the group. :)
It's a little odd flying with and signing off your spouse for a checkride, but hey, it works.
While he was taking his checkride, I was with Chuck and Nathan in the Cheyenne headed to Pennsylvania. It was sure a pretty day. We headed over to PA, picked up a guy there and he did some testing in the plane when we went up to 30,000'. We were up there for a bit over a half hour, and then headed back down, dropped him off, and headed back to Muncie. After a tasty lunch at Muncie, we headed back to Kokomo to call it a day. Steve and Kaylee were at the airport waiting for us, along with a friend of Nathan's. We kind of hung out there awhile, watched Nathan clean up an oil spill from the Twin Beech, talked about Steve's checkride, and Chuck's upcoming checkride, etc.
Finally I took Kaylee and headed home. I got some of the pictures from the Girl's Weekend, which you can see. There are a few more to come, I believe. I still can't believe I forgot my camera. *sigh*
While I was in Pennsylvania and Steve was checkriding, Kaylee was with Miss Judy at McDonald's Playland, where she was quite content! Kaylee was content, that is. :) It was a good day for Miss Kaylee too!
So let's see. Steve passed his MEL, I got to fly to another state and back (and see a very large plane load of convicts coming into Muncie), and Kaylee got to go to McDonald's Playland. Like I said, it was a Windshield Day. ;)
